The vet gets really expensive really fast! Look below to get an idea of costs and why it matters!

Coming soon: Estimates from a vet for various treatments of normal canine maladies.

  • Puppy shots are the first thing that needs to be thought about when considering a new puppy. Puppies MUST BE VACCINATED! There is no other way around it. If you want to take your puppy in public anywhere it needs to have its shots or be in the process of having its shots. Puppies can pick up things very fast and did you know that Parvo can live in the ground and in a house for years? Your puppy has a 97% chance of death if it picks up the parvo virus and if it gets into your house or apartment, another dog won't be able to live there unless it has ALL its shots.

  • Puppies are very mischevious and curious. They get into alot of things such as trash cans or bug traps you may have lying around your house. Not to mention, if you leave them in your backyard, they are masters at escaping! If your dog gets poisoned or hit by a car, will you have enough money to take it to the vet and get it taken care of? Pet insurance is always a good way to go but costs money every month to keep it active. Be sure to remember that accidents do happen and try to always keep a close eye on your puppy!

  • After shots you need to be thinking about spaying or neutering. Unless you're planning on breeding your dog, which should be left up to breeders who know what they're doing, your dog needs to be "fixed". If you don't, besides the pregnancy issue, males become very aggressive and teritorial while females cant be left alone outside for almost 1 month while they are in heat.

Oh, that dog! Ever hear of a German shepherd that bites its nails? Barks with a lisp? You say, "Attack!" And he has one. All he does is piddle. He's nothing but a fur-covered kidney that barks.
