Building Aggie Recreational K-9s

Mission: Our mission is to acheive great human-dog relationships through fun, instructive activities such as training, competition and community service.

Goals: We have many goals for our organization but the main ones include:
1. To have fun and learn alot
2. To help teach the community how to acheive the same relationship with their dogs as we have with ours
3. To show off skills learned through fun trials and competitions.
4. To never have any dog be abandoned because of lack of training.
5. To eventually be a part of AKC or USDAA dog shows as a group after training and practice.
6. To well prepare new dog owners for their responsibility so that they can be as ready as possible.

This month's topic is: Brushing

Brushing may seem to be a time consuming, useless task, however, brushing your dog is very important for multiple reasons. During the winter and spring dogs are switching coats, which means they are shedding hair all over the house. One easy way to reduce the mess is a good brushing 2-3 times a week. Brushing also stimulates circulation under the coat making your dogs coat smoother and shinier. The last reason is that it will allow you to have a great bonding time with your dog! Get to know your dog and soon you will look forward to your brushing sessions!
